SAFE SPACES FOR YOUTH
Growing up is no easy task. As kids become more independent and are faced with the tremendous task of navigating their lives, even just one decision makes a huge difference. A poor choice might result in a domino effect, negatively impacting future decisions. Here at the Y, we enable youth in our community to make the right decision—to become involved with something productive, something worthwhile and something beneficial to their health and well-being.

LEAVE A LEGACY
FOR A BETTER US
BRINGING US TOGETHER AND IMPACTING THE COMMUNITY
A lot can change in 130 years. The Y has watched our community evolve and adapt over time—we’ve seen how difficult it is to grow up, to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and to face the struggles of daily life. But these challenges don’t tear us apart; facing them head-on makes us stronger. Here’s where you come in: your generous donation helps us continue to support our communities, enabling individuals to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
LIVESTRONG® at the y
When life tries to tear you down, we’re here to help build you back up. Facing cancer is something no one should ever have to do alone. That’s why the YMCA partners with the LIVESTRONG® Foundation to provide you with the resources you need, so that you’ll never have to face this battle alone. With the guidance of professional fitness and wellness instructors trained in cancer survivorship and post-rehabilitation exercise, we will make sure you don’t just live your life, but that you live it STRONG.
LEARN TO SWIM
For kids, learning how to swim is about more than being able to play “Marco Polo” with their friends in the pool; it’s about being able to feel safe around water and capable and confident in their abilities. That’s why we work to ensure all kids learn by third grade, by teaching them the strokes and safety skills they will use for the rest of their lives.
Youth and family
Life isn’t easy—sometimes youth in our community are faced with emotional stressors and crises that no one should ever have to suffer through. That’s why Youth and Family Services helps pre-teens, teens and young adults get back on their feet, and shows them that they will never have to face these challenges alone.
At the Y, no one—no matter their age, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status—is ever turned away. We provide financial assistance so that everyone in our community is able to live a healthy life and learn and grow as individuals.
